水上之光

有人來信問到本週放在部落格上的第三首歌 Candle on the Water (水上之光)。茲回覆於部落格上，算是分享，因為它是首好聽又有趣的歌。

這首 Candle on the Water 跟9/21那週在部落格上聽到的是同一首曲子沒錯！但之前放的是 Emmy Rossum (「明天過後」、「歌劇魅影」、「七龍珠」) 的翻唱版本，這週聽到的才是原唱。我也曾到唱片行問過買不買得到 Emmy Rossum 演唱版本的CD，但沒人知道這首歌收在哪張專輯裡。所以之前我放的 Emmy 版，其實是用 Sequoia 從 Youtube 上截下來的。現在將 Emmy 版的影像檔嵌在下方，有興趣的人請自行回味比較：



這首曲子有趣的地方是，光從歌詞看的話，不小心還會以為它是首詩歌。原來，它是迪士尼早期的一部真人動畫電影「妙妙龍 (Pete’s Dragon)」的主題歌 (這是一種投射作用吧；我覺得妙妙龍應該是類似守護天使概念之類的一種隱喻)。很遺憾可能本人還不夠老，在知道這首歌之前，我也不曉得有這樣的電影，所以我自己並沒看過。Helen 的原唱版本味道比較正確；同樣的曲子被 Emmy 唱起來比較像是情歌。不過我覺得 Emmy 的唱功相當好，雖然還年輕，但曲子被她詮釋得很有感情。
